What an affiliate link is
A small number of links on NFA Watch — to gun trust services and suppressor retailers, for example — are affiliate links. If you click one and make a purchase, NFA Watch may earn a commission from the retailer or service. This costs you nothing extra; the price is the same whether or not you came from an affiliate link.
Affiliate revenue is the only monetization on the site. It funds hosting, the database, and the time spent maintaining the project — the same things described on the Support page.
What this never changes
- ✓Affiliate relationships never influence the wait-time data, medians, or rankings shown anywhere on the site
- ✓Every stat is computed the same way regardless of whether an affiliate link appears nearby
- ✓There is no paywall, no premium tier, and no feature gated behind a purchase
- ✓Affiliate links only appear where they're contextually relevant — not as banners or a dedicated ad directory
Where you’ll see them
Affiliate links show up in context — for example, next to an explanation of gun trusts or a suppressor recommendation — never on their own page or list. Every block that includes one carries a short note pointing back here.
